Aligning On The Continuum

Everybody agrees that alignment is a good thing (I hope).

But alignment can be tricky.

If you're planning a trip, you typically align on the destination, not the route. It may be okay to start out with a course in mind, but if you’re sold on the route, and the route is blocked, you may never reach the destination.

So it pays to be careful about where on the execution continuum you're aligning. Getting this wrong can sink your program. Getting it right will create agility and greatly increase your odds for success.
